Lowry’s Piccadilly Circus and Vanguard Holdings

Lowry’s 1960 painting Picadilly Circus, sold this month for £5.6m, shows the statue of Eros in centre ground. Vanguard, the developer of Lowry Mill, was contracted in the late 1990′s to dismantle Eros and the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain for renovation and then re-install them on completion.
